AI Cheat Sheet Builder ("the Service") turns course materials you upload into printable cheat sheets. This policy explains what we collect, what we do with it, and what we never do.
Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address (and, if you use Google sign-in, your Google account email and display name) via Firebase Authentication, our identity provider.
Uploaded documents. PDFs you upload are processed in memory to extract text and generate your cheat sheet. We do not run a database: uploaded documents are not persisted on our servers after your request completes.
Generated cheat sheets. Your cheat sheet history is stored locally in your own browser (localStorage), not on our servers. If you explicitly create a share link, the shared cheat sheet HTML is stored on our server so the link works for the people you send it to.
Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, request timestamps, error traces) for security, rate limiting, and debugging.
To generate cheat sheets, extracted text from your documents is sent to OpenAI's API for summarization and structuring. OpenAI processes this data under its API data usage policies; API data is not used to train OpenAI models. We send only document text — never your email or account details.
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not use your documents or cheat sheets to train AI models. We do not read your uploads except as needed to debug a problem you report.
Uploaded documents: not retained after processing. Share links: retained until you ask us to remove them. Account data: retained while your account exists. To delete your account or any share link, email us and we will action it within 30 days.
We use Firebase Authentication tokens to keep you signed in and browser localStorage to keep your cheat sheet history on your device. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
The Service is intended for college and university students and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the landing page.
